EXPEDICION NATURIST AND OF ETNOMEDICINE CRUISER 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS
Our expedition begins in Coca province of Orellana, Ecuadorian Amazon Region, located 25 flight minutes from Quito, Coca is the door of entrance to the Amazon river, main port in Ecuador.
ITINERARY
FIRST DAY
Reception of passengers in the airport of Coca and transfer to the Hotel La Mision, port of shipment of the Flotel, aboard the Flotel we begin to navigate the Napo river, the largest affluent of the Amazon river in Ecuador. After a fascinating navigation of 3 hours, we arrive to Pompeya and we'll go directly to the Reserve biological of Limon Cocha, where we will be able to observe great quantity of birds, Limon Cocha is considered one of the better places for animal observation
as well as the fauna of the place, we will enjoy an entertaining fishing of piranhas, and at sunset we will observe caymans, Limon Cocha is a respected sanctuary of the black cayman. Return to the ship.
SECOND DAY
Very early in the morning we carry out a walk to the NATIONAL PARK YASUNI, we will visit the "lamederos of parrots", special places where the parrots consume caolin in the eagerness to neutralize toxins produced by the plants, inside a process to brake the consumption of immature fruits on the part of the parrots before that can be scattered. It is perhaps this caolin the same one utilized in medicine as excipient in the KAOPECTATE?, discover it with us. We will carry out the first walk in the forest accompanied by a great YACHAG (shaman) identifying plants with fitoterapeuthic use, we would be able to collect some samples and to discuss them later aboard the Flotel, return to the ship to continue our navigation to Tereré. After lunch we will walk to the gap of Panacocha, during the crossing of 2-3 hours accompanied by the shaman and of the naturalistic guide, we will continue with the identification of useful plants in the Amazon etnomedicine, we will collect samples to analyze and talk about their different uses. We will have the opportunity to participate in a ceremony of ethereal and corporal cleaning and have a deep dialogue with one of the last yachags of the town ANDOA.
THIRD DAY
Walk in the forest continuing our process of discovering learning at the hands of the Yachag and the naturalistic guide, we will continue with the harvesting of samples, return al ship to initiate our return trip. In the afternoon we will carry out a board of socialization and discussion of what we have learned and observed in the forest with questions and answers in charge of the Yachag.
FOURTH DAY
Navigation aboard the Flotel to the Island SUMAK ALLPA, where we will be able to interact with the children of the school, we will know an incredible sample of medicinal plants in the garden of the project of ENVIRONMENTAL INTERPRETATION AND MANAGEMENT OF BIODIVERSITY, to finish we will learn to utilize the hunting weapons and war of the Amazon towns, the blowgun and the spear.
